Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition
  • All original tags and protective coverings must be intact
  • A copy of your order confirmation or receipt is required
Note on Non-Returnable Items: For safety and hygiene reasons, door thresholds that show signs of installation or wear cannot be returned. Custom or special-order items are also final sale.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Follow these simple steps to process your return or exchange:

  1. Contact our customer service team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order
  2. Provide your order number and details about the product you wish to return or exchange
  3. Receive return authorization and shipping instructions from our Savannah-based team
  4. Package your return securely using the original packaging when possible
  5. Ship your return to our warehouse (return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility)

Return Shipping Information

Return shipping methods correspond to your original shipping selection:

  • Standard Shipping Returns: Use DHL or FedEx for fastest processing
  • Free Shipping Returns: May use EMS or other trackable service

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. Acme Acorn Store is not responsible for return packages lost in transit.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Refund Timing: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive your return
  • Refund Method: Your refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Depending on your financial institution, it may take 5-10 additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Exchange Process

For exchanges of the same value:

  1. Follow the standard return process above
  2. Clearly indicate in your return request the replacement item needed
  3. We’ll ship your replacement once we receive the original item

For exchanges of different value, we’ll process a refund for the returned item and charge separately for the new item.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product (which is rare with our precision-engineered hardware):

  • Include photos of the damage or defect
  • We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you
